I spend a lot of time looking down. So, I bring a small digital camera along on walking trips to record what’s under foot. What I encounter strewn atop the patterns of the concrete and asphalt are the discarded artifacts of our urban culture. The stories they tell are of the downtrodden and the displaced. Their revelations, found as they lay, are in the transitions between the lofty and the low.
