Here is a compilation of many of my songs (All songs composed, performed and copyrighted by David Guilbault.) These demos were recorded by engineer Tom Stiles at Jack Staw Studios in Seattle. Alek Vila of Racing Hearts Records was the producer. We attempted a marathon session - 30 songs in 90 minutes. We got 24 done, one take each, with no editing - pure and simple, raw and true. Mixed versions of many of them are available for sale on SoundStation.
For those that need to know, these are four track mixes. The two vocal microphones were a Neumann u87 and a Neumann KMS105. The Taylor 512 guitar with new John Pearse Phosphor Bronze Wound Slightly Light Gauge strings was recorded acoustically by a Neumann KM184 mic and a Royer mic.
I did this mix in Garage Band with a little reverb on all the tracks.
